Your machines on one screen, nothing to replace.

A gateway that reads your equipment, a platform that keeps its data, an app for your teams. Every make, every generation.

Isometric drawing of the Mobapi.BOX on its DIN rail, with a UPS in the same form factor to its left, on the same rail, connected to the BOX by a power cable.

Mobapi.BOX, the field gateway

We plug in.

Mounted in the electrical cabinet, it reads what is already in place.

What it reads
PLCs, control systems, digital inputs, 4-20 mA sensors.
Read-only by design
The BOX sends no commands to your equipment.
Keeps running with no network
Months of measurements kept if the link drops. Ethernet, Wi-Fi or 3G/4G.
Built for the cabinet
31 × 100 × 125 mm, DIN rail, fanless, administered remotely. A UPS in the same form factor can be added next to it, on the same DIN rail, to ride through power cuts.

Mobapi.CORE, the data platform

Data flows in, and it’s stored.

Mobapi.CORE normalises the data from all your BOX units. It adds thresholds, alarms and history, even to equipment that reported nothing. You can also retrieve the raw data through the API, to use it in your own systems.

Mobapi.EYE, the app for your teams

You see it, your teams act.

In the browser, on a computer, tablet or phone, with trends, exports and a view for each role.

Mobapi.EYE overview of two sites: one tile per asset with its status (running or stopped) and its power output, power generation trends, the latest alarms and the latest rounds.
  • Overview

A 360° view of the fleet, site by site, continuously updated.

Mobapi.EYE interface, illustrative data.
Mobapi.EYE, alarm status: one gauge per monitored measurement with its alarm limits, two alerts at the top of the list, notifications by SMS and email.

Alarms

Thresholds on the measurements that matter, an alarm by SMS or email.

Mobapi.EYE on a tablet: the shift log, with the date, type, asset, location and operator for each entry, a search box and a filter by asset.

Shift log

Shift events, time-stamped and shared.

Mobapi.EYE on a phone: a turbine round in progress, 7 of 12 readings taken, a temperature being entered.

Rounds

Round readings, entered on a phone, make it into your systems. With no network, the app keeps working, then syncs by itself.

Mobapi controls nothing: your teams stay in charge.

<6min

to clear on site a fault spotted remotely. 4 h of downtime avoided. That was at EDF in French Guiana, a client since 2017, across all its thermal generation assets.

Already connected: GE Mark VIe, Woodward Micronet on a Pratt & Whitney turbine, Schneider and Siemens PLCs read through the existing SCADA. Mobapi has also read a GE Speedtronic Mark IV from its printer output, decoding the status it sent there.

Frequently asked questions.

What is Mobapi?

Mobapi is an industrial monitoring platform, not tied to any manufacturer. It brings equipment of every make and every generation, legacy equipment and remote sites included, onto one screen, together with the teams’ round readings.

Is the BOX always needed?

No. When your data already exists in a database, a file or a software application, Mobapi.CORE collects it directly, with no unit.

Do we need to modify our PLCs or our SCADA?

No. Read-only by design: the BOX sends no commands to your equipment. Mobapi runs alongside your existing SCADA, without replacing it.

Monitoring, SCADA, CMMS, data platform: which does what?

Each has its role: the SCADA exchanges with a site’s control system, the CMMS organises the maintenance work, the data platform stores measurements in one format, and monitoring watches the whole fleet and raises alerts. Mobapi runs alongside the existing SCADA, without replacing it, and a CMMS can retrieve its data through the API.

What happens when the network goes down?

The BOX carries on reading your equipment and keeps the measurements on site, for several months if need be. It sends them to Mobapi.CORE once the network is back.

Do we need to install software on our workstations?

No. Mobapi.EYE is a web application: it opens in the browser, on a computer, tablet or phone. Each user has their own account and sees what their role allows.

How do you compare measurements from equipment of different makes?

They first have to be put into one format, with consistent units. A temperature then reads the same way, whatever the equipment. Mobapi.CORE does this work and time-stamps every measurement: at one plant operator, three generations of control systems ended up on the same screen this way.

Can we get the data into our own systems?

Yes. Mobapi.CORE provides the raw data through the API, for use in your own systems. One customer has already done this, without using Mobapi.EYE: Mobapi brought together the measurements from that customer’s Sigfox sensors and 4-20 mA loops, and the customer used them through the API, in its own tools.

Tell us what you operate: we’ll show you a case similar to yours, then the data from one of your own assets.
