Alerted before a shutdown, wherever the machine is.

Your fleet mixes makes and generations, and some of your equipment reports nothing. Mobapi adds thresholds and alarms to it, and gives you what you need to assess an alarm remotely.

A diesel engine painted blue, its cylinder heads in a row, with its cables and pipework, in an engine room.

What changes for maintenance.

Alerted as soon as a threshold is crossed

TodayYou find out about the problem when the machine stops.

With MobapiSet a threshold on a bearing temperature, below the trip limit, and the alarm is raised in time.

Diagnostics start remotely

TodayA trip to site just to understand an alarm, sometimes at night.

With MobapiThe trends are on your phone, so you know what to look at before you set off.

The history, when you need to understand

TodayAfter an incident, memories and scattered notes.

With MobapiTime-stamped measurements, maintenance work and round readings in one place, with trends you can export.

Older equipment too

TodayThe oldest ones, often the most fragile, have never been monitored remotely.

With MobapiThe original control system can be read, even over a serial link. See legacy equipment.

How Mobapi does it.

  1. Mobapi.BOX reads the measurements on site

It takes them from the control system, the PLCs or the added sensors, in read-only mode. The systems already connected are listed on the Legacy equipment page.

  2. Mobapi.CORE calculates and stores

Averages, minimums, maximums and threshold crossings, with the full history.

  3. Mobapi.EYE, where maintenance works

Alarms, trends and history for each piece of equipment, recent or old. More detail on the Platform page.

Mobapi.EYE, alarm status: one gauge per monitored measurement with its alarm limits, two alerts and two warnings at the top of the list, notifications by SMS and email.
Mobapi.EYE, “DG 3: trends” screen: seven-day trends of the coolant temperature and the active power of a diesel genset, and of the ambient temperature at the site, with the 95 °C limit, then the minimum, average and maximum of each measurement.
Mobapi.EYE interface, illustrative data.

Spotted remotely, cleared on site.

“We keep better track of our machines, we anticipate breakdowns, and we keep them in good condition for much longer.”

Frequently asked questions.

How do you get warned before a machine stops?

By setting an alarm threshold below the trip limit, on a measurement that is tracked continuously. On a bearing temperature, for example, the alarm is raised in time, by SMS or email. Mobapi adds these thresholds to equipment of every make, even to equipment that reported nothing.

Can a fault be diagnosed remotely before travelling to site?

Yes, if the machine’s trends can be read on a phone: you know what to look at before you set off. At EDF in French Guiana, a client since 2017, across all its thermal generation assets, a manager at an airport sees a turbine fault in Mobapi. The fault is cleared on site in under six minutes.

Can we monitor equipment that has no sensors at all?

Yes. We fit the missing sensors (temperature, pressure, level) and connect them to the BOX, over 4-20 mA or on its digital inputs. The equipment stays in place.

Does Mobapi replace our CMMS?

No. The CMMS organises the maintenance work, while Mobapi monitors the fleet and alerts you. The two complement each other, and your CMMS can retrieve Mobapi data through the API.

Do alarms work the same way for every make?

Yes. Mobapi is not tied to any manufacturer: thresholds, alarms and trends apply in the same way across your whole fleet, recent or old.

What happens to a turbine’s monitoring when its control system is replaced?

It carries on, provided the connector is changed: the turbine stays on the same screen. A gas turbine runs for decades and often changes its control system. It has already happened on a turbine migrated from a Mark IV to a Mark VIe: Mobapi read the old system’s printer output, then the new one’s Modbus TCP.

Is connecting an older machine a “substantial modification” under the EU Machinery Regulation, applicable from 2027?

A connection that only reads, changing neither the program nor the safety functions, seems a long way from a substantial modification. The regulation targets a modification not foreseen by the manufacturer that creates a new hazard or increases a risk, says France’s INRS. Mobapi’s BOX is read-only. The conclusion is nonetheless the operator’s to draw.

Which machine worries you most?

Tell us which one. We’ll show you the measurements already available and the alarm thresholds to set on it.
