Mobapi at EDF’s Electric Days.

EDF in French Guiana invited us to exhibit at Electric Days 2018, EDF’s in-house innovation show. We presented the solution we have been developing with its teams for a year, which gets gas turbine data out of the control rooms. And we are more than a little proud to have been asked.

Electric Days in brief.

This is the show’s second edition. EDF organised it to present its latest innovations to its employees, its partners, local authorities and industry professionals. The projects come from its own teams, or from a partnership with a start-up.

More than 100 innovations filled the Grande Halle de la Villette, in Paris, grouped under four themes: Smart Home for homes that use less energy and use it better, Smart Business for industry (robotics, AI, connected objects, materials), Smart City for the connected city, and Low Carbon Generation for low-carbon power generation. Around the stands, demonstrations, talks and live sessions covered self-consumption, electricity storage, electric mobility and smart grids.

A year of work with EDF.

We exhibited in the Smart Business category. EDF’s teams in French Guiana came to us with a concrete need: to digitise their production data, in particular the data from their gas turbines.

The Mobapi.BOX units extract the data from the machines and send it securely to our cloud. There it is formatted, then displayed as dashboards and charts, on a computer, tablet or smartphone. This lets EDF carry out its preventive maintenance and make easier use of data that until now has stayed shut away in the control rooms.

We have equipped the turbines one by one, then the tanks, and other generation assets will follow. Alerts also warn EDF’s technical teams when a piece of equipment shows a fault.

This partnership has had us working in agile mode, to respond quickly to what the operational teams need. Thank you to EDF for such a fine showcase at the show.

Your fleet already has the data. Let’s look at it together.

Tell us what you operate: we’ll show you a case similar to yours, then your own data.
