Mobapi at the Innova’Tech show: from Sigfox sensors to dashboards.
On Thursday 8 September 2016, the Innova’Tech show put the spotlight on innovation in building and energy in French Guiana. The Mobapi team presented its data interconnection solution there, with a new connector for sensors on the Sigfox network.
A demonstration built around Sigfox.
Three of us went: the CTO, the head of business development and Vincent Reboul, our CEO. IDEO Caraïbes invited us onto its stand.
There we showed what the platform does with the data sent by connected objects, in particular those on the Sigfox network. A new connector automatically retrieves the sensors’ messages, and their data appears as dashboards. The same data can also feed a mobile app or go to a piece of business software. Enough to make better use of what the sensors report, and to help improve the energy performance of buildings.
The demonstration confirmed the interest in a solution like ours, in a fast-growing sector where the tools that link data and applications are still too often proprietary.
Meetings for what comes next.
Green Technologie, a specialist in the Internet of Things, was exhibiting too. Meeting them has opened up avenues for collaboration on collecting data from sensors linked to energy consumption. The idea: data put to better use helps companies reduce their energy footprint and save money.
Several major players in energy and industry also made the trip that Thursday. Thank you to IDEO Caraïbes for hosting us, and to everyone who made the day what it was.
